This Is A Proud Old Muscle Car ~ When Restored It Is Sure To Attract Attention. This Car Was Originally A 440 Console Automatic Car. It Needs Restoration. It Does Not Run Or Drive At This Time ~ The Engine And Transmission Are NOT In The Car ~ It Has A 8 3/4 Rearend. I will include a Rebuilder 440 Engine and 727 Automatic Transmission with the sale for an additional price, if the buyer wants it. We have owned this car for many years. This is offered for sale as a restoration project and not as a driver. It needs restoration "please see pictures". This Car Will NOT Be Sold With The Wheels And Tires Shown In The Pictures, It Will Be Sold With Factory Steel Wheels Only. It has the GTX hood but the ornamental hood scoops are missing and they are available online, new or used. The hood hinges and some chrome will be in the trunk. It has some rust down low behind the rear tires and it has minor rust in other areas. The body has some small dents and imperfections. The dash has some rust. The frame rails are solid and the glass is good. The floor boards and trunk are good. The passenger door is stuck shut and will not open. The window winds on the side glass are stuck. It will need penetrating oil and patience to free these items. The brakes do not work. It needs paint. Most of the interior is there but needs to be restored and cleaned. It has been sitting for a period of time. It will have all four tires, not pictured here as described above, it rolls and can be winched onto a car hauler. 1970 Chrysler 300 convertible, a very rare car to begin with just over a thousand made 52 years ago... how many left?

In 1970, Chrysler sent 485 white 440 2-door 300 hardtop coupes to Hurst for them to do their magic: custom Hurst fiberglass hood w/scoop, custom rear spoiler, gold accent paint scheme, 300H emblems, and more. Hurst also made ONE 300H convertible to use for marketing, parade, and other fun purposes.

I've done this car up as a tribute to the one 300H convertible ever made. The hood on my car is literally one of the original 485 Hurst 300H hoods, from an original 300H coupe that got rear ended decades ago. Rear spoiler is as close as I could get, 1970-only “Go Wing.” I also had 1970 Challenger exhaust tips installed, as featured on the original Hurst prototype... very good-looking.

This car came factory-equipped with the big 440 cubic inch engine, and the bucket seat sport interior. I have always wanted to do a 300H Hurst convertible, and have been on the watch for decades before finding just the right car.

The interior is still in very good condition, with the original black bucket seats w/ buddy seat/armrest. Not flawless, but in nice condition, more than presentable.

The body is very straight, and rust free. New high-end RM Diamont paint job over complete fresh bodywork. Wheel centers are properly gold painted, pinstripes, emblems, more all new.

Recent mechanical maintenance includes a fresh tune-up, an oil change and new filter, and fresh antifreeze. Starts easily, runs well. Brand-new BFG Radial T/A tires. Miles are original at 135k and change, runs just great.

This is a numbers matching 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T with a 440 and 727 Torque Flight automatic transmission. I have the original build sheet from the rear seat showing the originality. Numbers matching engine and transmission. The car runs but has been sitting for over 10 years. The transmission was rebuilt and has 3 miles on rebuild. This was a long term project that didn't ever materialize. The original color is the light sea foam green with white vinyl top and it had a red bee stripe from the factory. Original interior was white split bench seat. This car comes with all of the interior trim pieces, radio, radio cover plate, exterior molding. If you have read this far you know what your looking at in terms of rarity and value. This car deserves a full restoration and is a collectors muscle car due to the matching numbers engine and transmission. I have a 1970 Dodge Coronet 440 that I was cloning into a Superbee. It comes with 1968 four barrel 440 engine/automatic transmission. The engine needs to be rebuilt but its an original 1968 Mopar motor not a motor out of an RV. It is NOT the numbers matching motor.
