Found this nice vintage two-door luxury car offered by Chrysler in the 70s, being listed on craigslist looking for a new home. It was a high-performance option of the first generation Cordoba known as the Chrysler 300 released in 1979, only 3,811 units were made that year for US sales.

In the 70s, like a muscle car but in a different market, the 300s are intermediate-sized cars was made high performance-oriented but designed for mature men, a lot of luxury approaches without decals when offered.

Under the hood sitting neatly a 360 cubic inch “Hi-Po” V8 engine backed by a 727 torque-flite automatic transmission, are the classy beast. The Chrysler 300 wasn't built for street racing as a muscle car. It would be perfect for your dad or granddad coming home late and needing the pace or can tow a large travel trailer with style.

79 Chrysler 300. Excellent condition. Beautiful new paint and new red leather interior. Correct factory stripe kit. 360 V8. Runs and drive great and has cold A/C. 50,000 original miles. The chrome wheels will not come with the car. It will have the original aluminum alloy wheels it came on it from the factory with brand new Cooper Cobra Radial GT's. The last picture shows one. Touted as the fastest production vehicle Chrysler offered for 1979, the Chrysler 300 came with the same 360-4 barrel engine that was offered in the Dodge Lil' Red Express Truck in 1978! The Chrysler 300 (A74 Code) was a high performance option for the Cordoba platform in ‘79. In all, Chrysler slated a limited number of 5,500 built to order, there were only 3,811 Chrysler 300′s built that year for U.S. sales. Very nearly all were painted Spinnaker White with Red Corinthian leather interior and a small handful painted Red. The 360 cubic inch “Hi-Po” V8 engine (E58 code) with a 4bbl carburetor the engine pushed out a respectable 195 horsepower. Backing up the power plant is the trusty A727 torqueflite automatic transmission, and 9 ¼” rear differential. The A74 code also includes heavy duty suspension borrowed from Chrysler’s police package, front and rear oversized sway bars, HD Monroe shocks, and dual exhaust. On the outside, the special order Chrysler 300 exterior trim includes a 300 styled cross bar grill, a 300 grill medallion, 300 badges in the taillights, front header trim, 300 script in opera windows, special white bumper rub strip inserts, front fender louvers and special red and blue pinstripe. The highly desirable and collectible Chrysler 300's are heavily laden with chrome and stainless trim and the tasteful factory red and blue pinstripe against the White Spinnaker canvas and alloy wheels and raised white letter tires gives this car a lot of eyeball appeal. Inside the cockpit, the pilot is treated to form fitting factory leather bucket seats, reclining passenger seat, spacious center console, sport steering wheel and automatic shift on the floor. The 300 badges on the door panels, the “Three Hundred” red, white and blue plaque on the passenger side dash panel and the machined metal instrument gauge and console surround compliment the layout of the gauges which beyond the mandatory fuel, oil, alternator, and speedometer also includes a 7000 rpm tachometer! Other factory features with this amazing automobile include: Power steering, power front disk brakes and rear drum, factory air conditioning, electric wipers/wash, day/night rear view mirror, color-keyed red carpet, cigarette lighter, Chronometer digital clock and much more.
