The second owner bought it in California in 1970, had one repaint in the 70s, engine was rebuilt in 78, then car was parked/stored in a garage in 1981 until this month. Will start with gas in carb and a battery, but will need some work to be a driver. Very clean survivor type Mopar to restore, or leave in patina. This Is The Real Deal ~ 1967 Plymouth GTX 2 Door Hardtop Project Car, Minus Engine And Transmission. This Is A Real RS23L Car. This Is A Proud Old Muscle Car ~ When Restored It Is Sure To Attract Attention. This Car Was Originally A 440 Console Automatic Car. It Needs Restoration. It Does Not Run Or Drive At This Time ~ The Engine And Transmission Are NOT In The Car ~ It Has A 8 3/4 Rearend. I will include a Rebuilder 440 Engine and 727 Automatic Transmission with the sale for an additional price, if the buyer wants it. We have owned this car for many years. This is offered for sale as a restoration project and not as a driver. It needs restoration "please see pictures". This Car Will NOT Be Sold With The Wheels And Tires Shown In The Pictures, It Will Be Sold With Factory Steel Wheels Only. It has the GTX hood but the ornamental hood scoops are missing and they are available online, new or used. The hood hinges and some chrome will be in the trunk. It has some rust down low behind the rear tires and it has minor rust in other areas. The body has some small dents and imperfections. The dash has some rust. The frame rails are solid and the glass is good. The floor boards and trunk are good. The passenger door is stuck shut and will not open. The window winds on the side glass are stuck. It will need penetrating oil and patience to free these items. The brakes do not work. It needs paint. Most of the interior is there but needs to be restored and cleaned. It has been sitting for a period of time. It will have all four tires, not pictured here as described above, it rolls and can be winched onto a car hauler. It has various imperfections common of a 55 year old car. Any cleaning or restoration will be left up to the buyer. The pictures show the condition of this vehicle. If you have a specific concern please ask. This Vehicle Is Being Sold As Is Where Is With No Warranties Or Guarantees. This Car Will Need To Be Trailered Or Hauled From The Location. I would consider a trade or partial trade for an excavator, skid steer, good hydraulic dump trailer, camp trailer, toy hauler camp trailer or covered cargo trailer.

This GTX offered here is in amazing condition and is coming out of a prestigious car collection. The car has been very well cared for by a team of professionals. Everything is in 100% working order. 440 CI Super Commando. Hemi Suspension Package. Bucket Seats. Power top. Radio. AM 8 Track. Heater. Comes with great Service Records sand a Full Galen's Registry Documented Report. She is fully detailed, serviced and ready to go.

The engine was an amazing producer of its time in 1968 with 375hp, Super Commando 440-cid V-8, capable of 0-60 mph in 6.8 seconds, with a quarter-mile time of 14.6 second and a top speed of 121 equipped with an automatic transmission. Due to its high cost relative to the Plymouth Road Runner, the GTX is relatively rare today. The cars were incredibly quick, but also invariably better equipped than most other muscle cars of the era, which makes good originals worth seeking out. The best thing is that the 440 cars are generally easy to live with and provide an exhilarating ownership experience. This car is ready to be enjoyed on a daily basis or for a weekend cruise whichever the new owner sees fit.

Offering a rare 1968 Satellite GTX w/ original 440 CI V8 (375 hp) and COLUMN SHIFT Torque Flight 3 speed auto, 2 door hardtop. Bench seats front and rear. This is a local car and has been garaged 99% of it's life. NO rust. Drives like a new car. Doesn't rattle or squeak. Drivers window and the others roll up and down like new. It's definitely "Tight". It's what I know as a Survivor Car. . .w/ a new external paint job (by a body/paint guy that does million dollar cars for Pebble Beach)...it looks Great. Front seats are reupholstered and it needed a new carpet too. The rest of the interior...pretty much the rest of everything. Original radiator is rare and cools the hot motor well. Trunk panel which is original looks good as it can r/t this un-reproduced universally pitted from exhaust (poor design) item. Paint code matches the color of the car. . .Electric Blue Metallic and was repainted EXTERNALLY recently due to a lifetime of door dings and chips. I call it a "Sympathetic Restoration". . .nothing more than needed. All original body panels, trunk and engine compartments and has never been bent. Mechanical's are all original. Odometer shows 42K? It was 'retired'...parked in 1990, in a garage. It has Power Steering and 4 wheel drum brakes. Good driver: starts up, goes like stink, turns, stops eventually and the heater and wipers work for those cool/wet NW nights, or more likely if caught in a rain storm on the way back from the car show. The 440 has the sweetest sound through its original thick steel (compared to current repo's) exhaust (with new mufflers since some things do wear out). . .love those exhaust tips. NUMBERS MATCH on this wonderful car. This was a literal grocery getter for the late owner. Original window sticker w/ original owners and warranty manual is present. BUCK plate (fender tag) is present. Includes most of the desired "Pedigree paper work" (original license plates and frames from BC Hawk in Bellevue) as somewhat noted in the above dialogue (window sticker etc). Unfortunately the "Broadcast Sheet" (build sheet) has been temporarily misplaced. Hopefully it will be found. The grille looks great. Original license plates are on the car and are considered Restored Class. It has a 3.23 Sure Grip differential. As mentioned, it is a local car but has no currently located service records (a couple in there fifties bought it new and have since passed). Keep in mind this is a car that could be bought in Seattle and driven home to Spokane or wherever...it drives. Come see it starting Monday the 14th. First come first served. That's a lot of greenbacks. Wire transfer preferred.
