This a high-performance package of the Cutlass models, yes it's a muscle car produced by Oldsmobile called 4-4-2 or just known as Oldsmobile 442 originally the mean is a four-barrel carburetor, four-speed manual transmission, and dual exhausts, then latter referred to the 400 cubic inch engine, four-barrel carburetor, and dual exhausts.

Muscle car sales mellowed in 1971, due to adjusting company policy to reduce engine output to run on lower-octane regular leaded, low lead, or unleaded gasoline. In addition, muscle cars are subject to extra high premium surcharges from the insurance.

As shown here is the second generation of the 442 released in 1971 to fight in the Muscle Car class against the other big names such as GTO, GTX, Torino Cobra, Mustang, Road Runner, Cuda, Charger, and Challenger.

442 V8 engine, 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Tribute

These beasts offered excellent performance, the engine bay looks clean, and a 455 cubic inch V8 engine sits tidily in the right place, mated with a TH400 automatic transmission, we guess he can run from 0 to 60 mph in 8.9 seconds, for top speed and the rest ask the owner.

Interior, 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Tribute

The black interior and bucket seats with the center console shifter all look nice. No cracks on the dash and no ripped upholstery, are perfect, and we hope all the instruments and gauges on the dash work properly, also AC and radio would be more blessings.

1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Tribute

You know from the moment you lay eye on this coupe that it's no ordinary Cutlass. The dual scoops in the hood and a wing on the tail give it a 442 level of aggressive appearance, but that's not even the first thing that grabbed your attention, giant performance, and a good-looking car make you curious. Muscle car sales were plunging by 1971, with downgrade power output than the model before and a lot of extra charges at that time, but there were still eager buyers clamoring for cars like this beast. All had rebuilt with a cosmetic refresh, it will continue to shine well if you keep on the right way, and might maximize the long-term investment potential.
